Plain language.

These terms are between you and Vayl, operated by João Batisti in Lisbon, Portugal (privacy@vayl.pro). They describe what Vayl does, what you agree to when you use it, and what neither of us is responsible for.

What Vayl is

An athletic data platform. You log what you do (training, food, what you take, sleep, body measurements, lab results) and Vayl keeps it in one record. The iPhone app holds your records; the web terminal compares signals over time. Vayl also calculates estimates and editable targets from your own numbers. Estimates are approximations, not measurements or lab results.

What Vayl is not

Not a medical device. Not a diagnostic tool. Not a doctor, coach, dietitian, pharmacist, or trainer.
Vayl never tells you what to take and never prescribes. The targets it fills in (lift, protein, water) are arithmetic on your own numbers, and you can change them. It reveals, you decide.
Not a substitute for professional advice. If a number concerns you, talk to a qualified human.

Your account

You must be 18 or older. One account per person. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you log and for keeping your credentials secure. You can export your logs as CSV or JSON from the iPhone app. You can delete your account at any time, now or with a 30-day grace period: deletion is queued at once and runs as the privacy policy describes.

Pricing & payment

Vayl Pro is $12.99 per month or $59.99 per year. Both give you the same Vayl, because there are no tiers.
If you are eligible for Apple's introductory offer, your first month is free. The subscription starts immediately and Apple bills you when that month ends, at the price shown on the purchase screen before you confirm.
Payment is handled by Apple through the App Store, inside the iOS app. Apple is the seller of record: we never see your card, and there is no separate checkout on this site.
The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. You cancel in Settings on your Apple device, under your account name and then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next charge and keeps your access until the period you already paid for ends.
Refunds are handled by Apple, under Apple’s terms, not by us. If you believe you were charged in error, request a refund through Apple.
Deleting your Vayl account does not cancel your Apple subscription. Only you can cancel it, in Settings, and you should do that first if you no longer want to be billed.
Prices are in USD and may differ by storefront.

Acceptable use

You will not reverse-engineer the product, share your account, or use Vayl to coordinate activity that is illegal where you live. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse the platform, with a minimum 7-day notice except in cases of clear ongoing harm.

Liability

Vayl is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by your local consumer protection law (in EU: Directive 2019/770; in BR: CDC), our maximum aggregate liability is limited to what you paid for Vayl in the prior 12 months. This does not limit consumer rights that the law does not allow to be limited.

Changes

Material changes to these terms are posted on this page at least 30 days before they take effect, carrying the date they take effect. A change never applies backwards to a period you have already been billed for, and you can cancel in your Apple Account settings before the next renewal if you do not accept it.

The 2026-10-10 update corrects this page to match how Vayl already works: account deletion is queued rather than instant, what the export contains, the scope of the service, and the age requirement the app already applies. It adds no new obligation for you and does not reduce any right you had under the earlier text.

Jurisdiction

Governed by the laws of Portugal, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
