One signal in. Five ways to read it.

The phone records all day. The wide screen reads it back once a week. Every image below is the running tool.

Vayl Hub on the web: a thirty-day recovery curve with the current reading at 35 milliseconds and a gold NOW marker, over a row of signal tiles for energy, nutrition, weight, hydration and workout, each with its value and its own sparkline, then a blood panel with each marker against its published reference band and a capture-coverage column for the last seven days

01Home

Six in the morning, before the day has done anything to you.

You open the phone and the day is already laid out: what is due, at what time, in which part of the day. You mark what you did with one thumb. Nothing reorders itself while you are looking at it, and nothing is counting how many days in a row you showed up.

  • Morning, afternoon and night, each holding what belongs to it
  • Log something late and it keeps the day it actually happened on
  • One cadence language for everything: every day, chosen weekdays, or every N days

Morning 4Afternoon 3Night 4

Eleven entries at real clock positions. Night carries more than afternoon, which is what the grouping is for.

The Vayl iPhone Day screen: hydration at 1,000 of 5,000 millilitres with quick add buttons, the day split into morning, afternoon and night with the count due in each, then the nutrition and training entries for today, over the five module tabs
iPhone · records it

NeverNo streak, no guilt, no motivation. Vayl never reorders your day or tells you what to do next.

02Training

Between one set and the next, one hand free, no signal.

That is when you decide whether the next one is a drop set or rest-pause, and the app has to answer on the first tap. On Sunday, on the wide screen, you look at thirteen weeks at once and see whether the block did what it promised.

  • 155 exercises and 34 sports, four disciplines in one history
  • A lift is measured in load, a ride is measured in effort, neither becomes points
  • Every load number shows the published formula behind it: Coggan, Minetti 2002, Coyle 2001, Cole 1999, Foster 1998

114 sessions across 13 weeks. The empty column is a week that did not happen, and it stays empty.

Editing a bench press on the Vayl iPhone app: sets, reps, weight and rest, then how the set runs, with normal, drop set, rest-pause, bi-set and myo-reps each carrying its own description

NeverNo generated programme, no recommended weight, no coaching cue. The board is not a leaderboard.

03Nutrition

Sunday night, setting up a week you have not lived yet.

Monday can run a plan Sunday never sees, and each plan carries its own macros and its own water. Weeks later the wide screen tells you how many days you actually logged, with the denominator printed next to it.

  • 8,631 foods with micronutrients, searchable by barcode
  • A plan can expire on its own, so a finished week does not quietly continue
  • The day you missed is drawn as loud as the day you logged

A filled cell is a day that was captured, an outline is a day that was not. The 55 of 90 is the count the capture below prints; which days fell where is illustrative. Nothing is averaged into a percentage.

The Vayl iPhone Nutrition plan tab: two plans with their calories, macros and water goal, then the weekly schedule where Sunday runs one plan, Monday through Friday run another, and Saturday runs none

Vayl Nutrition on the web: how many of the last ninety days were actually logged, with the days that were not drawn at the same weight as the days that were
Web · reads it backHow many days you actually captured, with the denominator printed.

NeverNo projected deficit, no food scored good or bad. A missing day is shown missing, never averaged over.

04Body

The first minute awake, before you are properly awake.

Last night arrived from the watch while you slept. You read it stage by stage, each one printed next to its published normal range, and you decide what today is worth. The ninety days behind it are waiting on the wide screen.

  • Sleep stages, variability, resting rate, blood pressure, VO2max
  • 284 lab markers across the years, each with its reference band
  • Skinfolds, bioimpedance, DEXA fields, photos, left side against right

Last night on the Vayl iPhone app: the sleep timeline from 23:09 to 06:00, then deep at one hour twenty-two and 21 percent, REM at one hour fifty-one and 28 percent, light at three hours twenty-two and 51 percent and fifteen minutes awake, each printed beside its published normal range

NeverNo sleep score, no readiness ring, no Low or High badge. A photo pair is a comparison, never a rating.

Ten at night, the same time as yesterday, and the day before that.

The reminder arrives because you set that cadence, not because something guessed at it. Behind the reminder sits the pharmacology: half-life, what has accumulated, and how much is left at the rhythm you are actually keeping.

  • 4,012 substances, 3,090 of them everyday medication, searchable by trade name
  • One compartment, first order, summed per entry, and it says modeled mass rather than a blood level
  • Half-life from the literature or from yours, and the screen tells you which one it used
What accumulates, at that cadenceModeled
day 1day 7day 14

One compartment, first order, superposed. 80 mg every 24 h, half-life 24 h. Plateau 160 mg at the peak and 80 mg at the trough. Modeled mass, never a blood level.

Setting a cadence on the Vayl iPhone app: an ongoing phase from June 7, daily at 22:00 shown as a row of dots across the month, with weekdays and interval as the other two options, and the amount per intake and per week

NeverNo recommendation, no suggestion, nothing pre-filled. No published half-life means no curve at all.

The reveal

A chart you cannot ask questions of is decoration.

This is the product's own chart, running here on the page. The beam sweeps once and the signal appears behind it. Put the cursor anywhere on the line and it gives you the exact value and the exact day.

Five signals, four months, one axis.

Four months of one real athlete, five channels on the same time axis. The faint line is every day that was actually measured. The bright one is a seven day average, which is what makes a jumpy signal readable without hiding the jumps underneath.

Point anywhere and the same day lights up on all five at once, with how many of them were really measured that day. Where a signal has no data, the floor is dotted instead of drawn. Vayl lays them side by side and stops there.
